Working with my students remains a joyful experience, one that never gets old. I try to guide students to discover how they learn best and have not found many benefits in drilling skills or using worksheets. We spend our time reading books and writing in paragraphs. Like Dr. Seuss, I believe that
The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you will go.

Focus on Learning teachers not only help students figure out how they learn best, but our teachers also help them thrive. I enjoy meeting people and hearing their stories about how they push past their issues and strive to be their best. I have heard countless times of how former FOL students are still using what they learned at FOL in their careers or lives.
